Behavioral Health Services

For further information, please call the Village at 215.730.2240. Any child who is receiving Medicaid is eligible for services from the Behavioral Health Department.

Presbyterian Children's Village has been providing intensive behavioral health services to children and teens since 1984. The Village can provide these services for children and families at the agency through our Outpatient Clinic.

Outpatient Clinic

Core components of the program include:

  • Individual Therapy: talk or play therapy or a combination of both
  • Family Therapy: involves family members working together to solve problems that are affecting their children
  • Group Therapy: Topic-centered sessions are offered from time to time on such topics as grief and loss, trauma, adoption, and more.
  • Evaluation with a psychiatrist or psychologist: Evaluations allow staff and families to define services that the child needs. Medication can be prescribed by the psychiatrist and monitored with monthly medication checks.
