PCV is hosting a TANT Workshop with Dr. Lyndra J. Bills - May 4, 2011
ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Lyndra J. Bills, MD is a board certified psychiatrist. Dr. Bills began developing and using Trauma Art Narrative Therapy (TANT) in 1993 as a way to help individuals process traumatic events. Dr. Bills has extensive experience using the Sanctuary Model of trauma-informed care in order to reduce violence.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: This workshop includes didactic and interactive learning about trauma theory, when to use trauma intervention techniques, use of informed consent in therapy and the steps and principles of Trauma Art Narrative Therapy (TANT). It will also include a detailed review of many clinical case examples for both adults and kids where TANT was successfully applied. The workshop features an experiential process considered critical in gaining a solid grasp of this trauma resolution technique. Common problems and stumbling blocks are also reviewed with plenty of time to review and ask questions.
