ISSUES & INFORMATION

The Presbyterian Children's Village is concerned about a broad range of child welfare issues which affect troubled children in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Our staff and board strive to stay abreast of these issues and the opportunities that impact the children and families we serve.

The protection, intervention, and treatment of children at risk and those who have experienced abuse or neglect are public mandates. This requires meeting the complex needs of children and youth through a wide array of programs and services. It is important that public funds are adequate to support the provision of these services by private agencies, like the Presbyterian Children's Village.

The Village is one of a number of private agencies that provide more than 70% of the services to children and families who enter the child welfare system in Pennsylvania. The Village partners with agencies such as the Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth, and Family Services and others to ensure compliance with regulations and to share best practices.
