HEALING SPIRITS. NURTURING CHILDREN. SERVING COMMUNITIES. SINCE 1877.
A planned gift is a powerful way - long after you're gone - to leave a legacy that continues to help troubled children, heal families, and maintain adequate facilities from which these programs and services are provided. Planned gifts are welcome in any amount, large or small. Donors are encouraged to seek advice from their financial planner to make these arrangements. These gifts may be unrestricted or designated for a purpose close to the donor's heart.
Bequests
One of the simplest ways to make a planned gift is to name the Village in your will or designate the Village as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, a bank account, or a brokerage account. Many options are available for setting up a fund with benefits for both the agency and the donor or others for whom the donor wishes to provide income. The Presbyterian Foundation offers a number of planned giving options, as do many other institutions, including the Charitable Gift Annuity, Deferred Payment Gift Annuity, Annuity Trusts, and Unitrusts.
Special Recognition
Those who make a bequest or a lifetime Planned Gift to the Village become members of the Reverend Charles Terry Society. The fund is named for Charles Terry, who as a child was a resident in the orphanage. He went on to graduate from Princeton University and Princeton Theological Seminary. Following a distinguished career in the ministry, he served the Village as a chair on the Board of Directors in the mid-1990s. His legacy lives on through generous planned giving contributions.
By notifying the Village that you have named the Village in your will or created a Planned Gift, you will receive invitations to special events, special communications and recognition. Knowing that you have made his kind of commitments can inspire others to do the same.
If you have named the Village as beneficiary of a Planned Gift or would like to receive additional information, please contact the Development Office at 610.519.1605 or development@pcv.org.
