What Your Gift Provides

The Village reaches more than 7000 children each year through an array of services that vary in intensity from a full-time residential treatment program to many services for children who live in their own homes or foster homes, to prevention programs that support academic achievement and positive lifestyles. The most serious funding gaps occur in the areas of therapeutic mental health services and educational programming for the residential school at Rosemont. Also, no public funds support the chaplaincy program, which is an important outreach component of the Village services, particularly to adolescents in the residential treatment program. With many funding sources cutting their funding, the Village relies increasingly on private funds to support much-needed after school and summer programs in Southwest Philadelphia.

  • The average cost to provide the academic program for an adolescent residing at the Rosemont campus is $24,638. A gift of $137 provides instruction for one teen for one day; $685 underwrites an entire week.

  • Providing Mental Health Services to a child costs an average of about $700 per month. About $350 of this must come from private sources. A donation of $350 insures that a child will be able to receive these services for a month.
