ABOUT US

Mission

The mission of Presbyterian Children's Village is to promote the healing of the spirits of children, families and communities broken by violence, addiction, poverty, mental illness, racism and other societal problems.

Founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition and based on a Christian commitment to be of service to others, Presbyterian Children's Village will provide the highest quality programs to at-risk children, families and communities. Services are provided through fully licensed, approved and accredited programs as appropriate.

The Village's work is underscored by cherished values:

  • Give vulnerable children and families support and assistance without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, national origin, ethnic background, sexual orientation or disability.
  • Provide support via a competent and culturally diverse staff.
  • Foster an appreciation for the unique worth and dignity of each child and family.
  • Assist each child to develop to his or her full potential.
  • Be family focused, community oriented and culturally competent.
  • Promote the inclusion and participation of each child and family in the treatment and service planning process.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations to determine our effectiveness.
  • Be creative in responding to some of the most critical needs of at-risk children, families and communities in contemporary society.
