VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

From time to time, the Village has projects, small and large, that benefit from the talents and labor of volunteers. Please contact the Development Office if you, individually or as a group, are interested in undertaking such a project. We will work with you to find a suitable match. We recommend planning your project at least two months in advance.

Would like to volunteer? Volunteer Interest Form

For volunteers who are seeking to work directly with youth, three opportunities have been developed that can have a significant impact on the lives of at-risk youth.

  • TUTORS are needed in all subject areas, at all grade levels, and especially with reading and math. There are opportunities at the Rosemont campus to work with teens. At the Preheim Center, tutors are needed to work with younger children, and at the various school locations in West and Southwest Philadelphia through our various after-school programs. This opportunity requires clearances and training—we'll help you with all of this. Find out more...
  • The TAG TEAM is a new opportunity on the Rosemont campus for people from many backgrounds, experiences, professions and careers to share a variety of experiences and opportunities with small groups. These sessions can be oriented toward careers, life skills, or recreational activities and hobbies. They can involve a one-time presentation or a mini-series. All sessions include staff supervision at all times and assistance. Find out more...
  • CAREER NIGHT - Once a month, local professionals are invited to speak to our youth about their careers and the path that took them there. Our Career Nights target residential youth who are juniors or seniors in high school as well as the youth in the SIL program. Career Fairs are also presented at our Afterschool Programs. As a professional in our community, you can provide tremendous inspiration to these youth who have had few role models in their lives. Help plant the seed of an idea that may develop into a direction for training and a job. Find out more...

Presbyterian Children's Village is also actively looking for ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS, who provide clerical support to administrative staff.
